Scope of application

product title

Ceramics play a key role in many biomedical applications. One of these applications is the use of these ceramics in bone grafting in the treatment of bone defects resulting from diseases or osteoporosis.

Calcium phosphate-based ceramics are preferred as bio-grafting materials in osteonecrosis surgeries due to their close chemical composition with human bone.

Current status of product operation

The physicochemical properties of calcium phosphates are responsible for their biological activities. Chemically, hydroxyapatite is a calcium phosphate close to bone, but due to the molar ratio of Ca/P = 1.67, it dissolves very little in biological environments.

While calcium phosphate ceramics are soluble in biological environments and are highly bioactive.
